TINTON FALLS, NJ – Compassion-First, a family of 29 specialty, emergency, and general medicine veterinary hospitals across the United States, is proud to announce two key appointments to senior leadership: Alison A. Cornell as Chief Financial Officer and Jean Clifton as Chief Business Development Officer.
As a family of dedicated veterinary hospitals, Compassion-First has always placed a premium focus on helping veterinary practices to connect with one another in ways that are innovative and beneficial not only to the practices themselves, but to pets and their owners. This philosophy runs through every aspect of Compassion-First's leadership. By adding Alison Cornell as Chief Financial Officer and Jean Clifton as Chief Business Development Officer, Compassion-First will strengthen and complement its existing senior leadership team while also enabling the company to achieve its immediate and long-range goals.
As Chief Financial Officer for Compassion-First Pet Hospitals, Alison A. Cornell brings a wealth of experience in health care, consumer products, and telecommunications to the table. Prior to joining the Compassion-First team, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. Before that, she spent over a decade with Covance, the world's largest drug development services company, and she worked with AT&T for nearly 20 years.
"Alison brings us the ability to drive business transformation, accelerate growth, and strengthen financial and operational controls," said John Payne, CEO of Compassion-First Pet Hospitals. "She will help set the stage for our next chapter of prosperity, evolution, and innovation."
Alison A. Cornell replaces Jean Clifton as CFO for Compassion-First Pet Hospitals. Clifton will be taking over as Chief Business Development Officer, where she will be in charge of mergers and acquisitions, as well as helping to bring new hospitals into the Compassion-First family and spearheading other corporate innovations.
"I look forward to working more closely with Jean as we build and grow our family of hospitals," said Payne. "Jean knows our business and our people. She has a tireless commitment to our vision and has been a critical member of our leadership since our inception."
