Compassion-First Pet Hospitals Expands Leadership

Ryan Buck Promoted to Executive Vice President and Doug Brooks Joins Team

Tinton Falls, NJ—June 5, 2019 – Compassion-First Pet Hospitals, a family of well-known and respected specialty, emergency and general medicine veterinary hospitals across the United States, expands its leadership and elevates its focus on business development to bring the best veterinary hospitals into its family.

Ryan Buck, Group President for all of Compassion-First hospitals in Texas, is being promoted to Executive Vice President. Buck will now oversee the newly created Business Development department, Marketing, Talent Development, Customer Development and the Client Experience departments to respond to the growing needs of the family of hospitals as well as the planned growth ahead.

“We have already had an exciting 2019, and I am absolutely energized by our momentum as it will fuel our future growth and strengthen our family of hospitals,” says John Payne, Chief Executive Officer of Compassion-First Pet Hospitals. “Ryan is a critical component to our plans moving forward, and I am thrilled to have him in this new role.”

Part of Compassion-First Pet Hospitals strategic plan for growth is to have presence from coast to coast. This includes opening a second office in Vancouver, WA, at the end of the third quarter. This west coast office will be the hub for the newly formed Business Development department. Compassion-First Pet Hospitals is proud to announce the addition of Doug Brooks as Vice President of Business Development, to Compassion-First’s leadership team.

Brooks has been in the animal health industry for 23 years, with the majority of his career with Elanco Animal Health in a variety of positions including, District Sales Manager, Country Director for UK/Ireland, and ultimately the Director of East Regional Sales.

“Doug has an incredible reputation and a strong track record for success in each of the roles that he has held,” say Buck. “He will add substantial knowledge and further our goal to bring the profession’s very best to our family of hospitals.”

Additionally, Alison Cornell, Chief Financial Officer with Compassion-First Pet Hospitals has also been promoted to Executive Vice President.
