Compassion-First Pet Hospitals Announces The Addition of Two New Hospitals

July 3, 2019

Tinton Falls, NJ – July 1, 2019 – Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas (AEHNT) in Grapevine, Texas, and Florida Veterinary Referral Center & 24-Hour Emergency Hospital (FVRC) in Estero, Florida, have joined the Compassion-First Pet Hospitals family of well-known emergency and specialty veterinary hospitals across the United States.

AEHNT is a veterinary practice providing emergency and critical care 24/7/365 to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, including avian and exotic species. AEHNT is part of a larger referral hospital that includes another Compassion-First Hospital, Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, who joined in 2017.

Florida Veterinary Referral Center was founded in 2006 by Dr. Joshua Parra and Dr. Laura Breunig-Parra and is the premier specialty hospital in southwest Florida. The specialty referral and emergency hospital provides critical care, internal medicine, radiology and surgery for area pets.

Dr. Joshua Parra founder of FVRC says, “We have entered an age where consumer demands for medical advancements are growing daily. Providing leading-edge specialty care is important to us and our community, and in order to meet these demands we need a partner like Compassion-First Pet Hospitals.”

Dr. Megan Turner, co-chief of operations for AEHNT added, “Partnering will provide us with the latest in specialty resources and diagnostic equipment, helping us take the critical next step forward.”

Founded in 2014, Compassion-First Pet Hospitals is a family of 44 specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals in 14 states across the country. Founder John Payne views the collaborative group of hospitals as a family that is united by a common passion: to put pet owners and their pets at the center of care. The hospitals benefit by working together and maximizing their resources. Each hospital owner retains their equity, uniqueness, integrity and medical decisions.

“Both hospitals are well-known for providing exceptional specialty and emergency care to pets and their owners,” says John Payne, President, CEO and Chairman of Compassion-First. “We look forward to working closely with both to share their expertise with our family of hospitals.”
