Compassion-First Pet Hospitals Adds Three Renowned Florida Hospitals
Specialists in Companion Animal Neurology and
First Coast Veterinary Specialists and Emergency join the family
Tinton Falls, N.J. -
Compassion-First Pet Hospitals, a family of well-known and respected specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals across the U.S., announced today the addition of three renowned Florida hospitals: Specialists in Companion Animal Neurology (SCAN) of Clearwater and Naples, and First Coast Veterinary Specialists and Emergency of Jacksonville Beach.
The SCAN hospitals are the only veterinary practices on the Florida Gulf Coast that exclusively treat medical and surgical disorders of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. The SCAN team is led by highly trained, board-certified specialist doctors that have each completed at least eight years of post-graduate education, two board certification examinations and have published scholarly articles in leading veterinary journals. Both hospitals utilize state-of-the-art diagnostics, including high-field MRI, electrodiagnostic and spinal fluid analysis to accurately diagnose your pet’s neurological disease. The veterinary specialists at SCAN expertly interpret diagnostic tests and are then able to formulate the best treatment plan for the pet while keeping quality of life at the forefront of any therapeutic recommendations.
“The vision to elevate veterinary medicine beyond what is seen in human medicine is truly achievable,” says Dr. Michelle Carnes of SCAN. “John Payne’s vision to become the Mayo Clinic of veterinary medicine is more than words; he is investing in the right hospitals and fostering true collaboration.”
First Coast Veterinary Specialists and Emergency is a referral specialty and emergency center with board-certified veterinary surgeons working in partnership with primary care veterinarians and other board-certified veterinary specialists to provide advanced care to pet owners throughout Northeast Florida and South Georgia communities.
