A Special Message from our President and CEO, John Payne.
Dear Compassion-First Friends & Neighbors:
At Compassion-First Pet Hospitals, there is no higher priority than the health and safety of our clients, staff members, and the communities we serve. With the global health crisis evolving rapidly, I wanted to take a moment to share with you what we are doing at Compassion-First to minimize the risk and spread of this disease.
Our highly trained, dedicated veterinarians, along with our clinical and administrative staff are working tirelessly to continue serving our communities with the excellence and compassion that is synonymous with our name. Please know that we are here for you. Our hospitals will remain open and fully operational to continue serving all your pet needs.
As we continue to monitor this situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19), I want to assure you that we are going above and beyond the guidelines and recommendations of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and state and local health departments to keep our staff members, clients, partners, and our communities safe. Since the outbreak, we have enhanced our already stringent cleaning and sanitation protocols to include more frequent surface disinfecting as well as more frequent hand washing and wearing protective equipment including masks, gloves, and gowns. Our hospital staff is required to remain at home if they are sick, exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, or may have been exposed to COVID-19.
We are also taking precautionary measures with our clients. All Compassion-First clients will be screened by phone prior to appointments to help ensure that it is safe for them and their pets to come to our hospitals. Additionally, we have implemented new safety procedures, including curbside drop off and pick up, which allow us to continue to care for your pets while protecting the health and safety of our hospitals and staff. We are confident that these new measures and procedures will serve us all well.
